Ayesha Community Girls School

Not too far away from the "Islamia Girls School," Emma visited another girls school called  "Ayesha Community School" in Hendon. On this occasion, the article used was article 1, “We Are All Born Free & Equal” to highlight the fact that no matter who we are, everyone should be treated in the same way.

Firstly, the girls had to communicate the article, “We Are All Born Free & Equal” through poetry. As the girls seemed like bright pupils, Emma was confident that they would rise up to the challenge. As a result, the group of girls had produced fabulous poems expressing their thoughts and views on everyone being treated equally. For example, one girl states about how “We are all equal and we are all the same” and we should not be judged on the country we come from.

Finally, as a way of supporting Human Rights, the girls made a pledge stating they would abide by the 30 articles of the Human Rights, similar to the girls from Islamia School. In addition to abiding the rights, the girls also pledged they would stress the importance of human rights to others.
